Portugal news - Portuguese lawyer, Filipe de Vasconcelos Fernandes, just won the Future Leader World Hydrogen Award 2024 in the Netherlands.
The World Hydrogen 2024 Awards in the Netherlands recognized the exceptional achievements of Portuguese lawyer, Filipe de Vasconcelos Fernandes, as a future leader in the hydrogen sector.
It is the first time that a Portuguese person won the prestigious award, and the jury highlighted the contributions made by Filipe de Vasconcelos Fernandes to disruptive ideas, including the H2Tax, the Energy & Tax Policy initiatives and the connection to the teaching of Energy Economics and Renewable Gases topics.
“I will seek to honor the World Hydrogen Awards 2024 and continue to make my contribution to the development of the Hydrogen Economy - with emphasis on my country, Portugal, and the European Union, but without forgetting other places of particular prominence for the Hydrogen vector,” stated Portuguese lawyer, Filipe de Vasconcelos Fernandes.
The 6 winners of The World Hydrogen 2024 Awards in the Netherlands are the Clean Hydrogen Project Award for Hydrogen Holland I by Shell Netherlands, the Hydrogen Industrial Application Award for the Gigawatt Electrolyzer Factory by Air Liquide & Siemens Energy, the Future Hydrogen Leader Award to Filipe de Vasconcelos Fernandes of H2Tax and Executive Director of the Renewable Hydrogen Course AP2H2, the Port of the Future Award to Port Corpus Christi, the Hydrogen Transport Award for The Green Pioneer by Fortescue, and the Hydrogen Person of the Year Award to Eng. Nawal Alhanaee of the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure of the UAE.
The award was presented on May 12, 2024, in Rotterdam by the Government of the Netherlands in partnership with the Port of Rotterdam and the Sustainable Energy Council.
