British company Menzies Aviation, that is headquartered in Scotland, is a global aviation services company providing mainly aircraft ground handling and air cargo services. Menzies Aviation is a IATA strategic partner and the leading service partner in the global aviation industry, delivering logistics services at over 290 locations in more than 65 countries, on six continents.
Menzies Aviation, that completed its acquisition of a 50.1% stake in Groundforce Portugal, partners with TAP Air Portugal that retains a 49.9% stake in the business. With this new acquisition, Menzies Aviation thus acquired a 65% market share in Portugal.
In Portugal, Menzies Aviation manages more than 100,000 aircraft turns every year across five of its busiest airports, where it provides ground and air cargo services to several leading global airlines.
Menzies Aviation, that is one of the world’s largest aviation services companies with 45,000 employees, employs more than 4,000 people in Portugal across five airports in Lisbon, Porto, Faro, and Madeira.
In partnership with TAP Air Portugal, Menzies Aviation will invest in advanced technology, in a strategic move towards elevating standards, enhancing efficiency, and ensuring sustained growth in Portugal.
