Portugal news - KPMG has just announced the name of Portugal’s Most Innovative Tech Startup – BHOUT – which developed a smart Boxing Bag that was also recognized as one of the best inventions of 2023 by TIME magazine.

 

The winner of the KPMG Tech Innovator Award 2024 in Portugal is BHOUT, and the Portuguese tech startup will represent Portugal in the Web Summit International Final to be held in Lisbon in November.

 

Portugal’s most innovative invention is a smart Boxing Bag that combines sensors, AI, and Machine Learning that integrate gaming with fitness.

 

The maturity and professionalism of pitches by Portuguese startups show that Portugal’s ecosystem is increasingly developed and has a high-growth potential, according to João Sousa Leal, Head of Advisory at KPMG Portugal.

 

The other runners-up for the KPMG Tech Innovator Award 2024 were: Atlar Innovation, Coverflex, Enline, GetVocal Technology, Growappy, Smartex, UBBU and WingDriver. The jury, composed of members of KPMG and other industry experts, had the difficult task of choosing Portugal’s most innovative startup with the greatest potential to become a global tech titan.
