Portugal has registered an increase of 24% in foreign investment (FDI) in 2022 and is ranked No 1 host country registering the highest percentage increase in FDI projects.
Portugal’s tech sector in 2023 is booming with foreign investment in the digital industry accounting for 40% of total investment projects.

1 – Portugal – While Portugal ranked No 6 country in the total number of investment projects in 2022, Portugal ranks No 1 country with the highest percentage increase in foreign investment, with an increase of 24% in foreign investment projects.
2 – Poland - While Poland ranked No 8 country in the total number of investment projects in 2022, Poland ranks No 2 country with the highest percentage increase in foreign investment, with an increase of 23% in foreign investment projects.
3 – Turkey - While Turkey ranked No 5 country in the total number of investment projects in 2022, Turkey ranks No 3 country with the highest percentage increase in foreign investment, with an increase of 22% in foreign investment projects.
