Portugal news - Portugal ranks 16th most Sustainable country in the world according to the Sustainable Development Report 2024.
Portugal has achieved 4 Sustainable Development goals, namely: No Poverty, Affordable and Clean Energy, Gender Equality, and Sustainable Cities and Communities. However, the following goals remain big challenges: Zero Hunger, Responsible Consumption and Production, Climate Action, Life Below Water and Partnerships for the Goals.
The ranking is a global assessment of the progress towards achieving all 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals. Globally, none of the seventeen goals are expected to be achieved by 2030.
