Tourism in Portugal will be in the spotlight during the World Travel Awards Europe 2023 ceremony that will be held at the Sheraton Batumi hotel in Georgia.
The World Travel Awards presenter, Ela Clark, will host the event where the trophy of "Europe’s Leading Destination 2023" will be presented to Nuno Fazenda, Portugal’s Secretary of State for Tourism.
Portugal will be awarded a number of trophies during the glitzy gala ceremony attended by over 500 leaders in the travel industry. Among the other most notable trophies awarded to Portugal are Europe’s Leading Beach Destination in the Algarve that will be presented to André Gomes, the President of the Algarve Tourism Bureau; Europe’s Leading Island Destination that will be presented to Isabel María de França Góis of the Madeira Promotion Bureau, and Europe’s Leading City Destination that will be presented to Ricardo José Estavão Clemente of Turismo de Lisboa.
