Portugal news - Portuguese tech startup Growappy has closed its first funding round of 600,000 euros led by Caixa Capital.

 

Growappy, a tech platform revolutionizing early childhood education, has been bootstrapped since its launch in 2020, and this new investment will fuel its global growth while enhancing its cutting-edge technology by expanding its range of functionalities powered by generative AI.

 

“We are excited about the potential that the latest developments in artificial intelligence have to transform the field of education, as well as the vision and capabilities demonstrated by the developers of Growappy in the field of early childhood education,” stated Walter Palma, Director of Venture Capital at Caixa Capital.

 

The EdTech startup, that was founded by three computer engineers from the Instituto Superior Técnico of the University of Lisbon, is already present in seven countries. The Portuguese startup now intends to accelerate its international expansion, with a special focus on the Spanish market.

 

Growappy won the “Best Digital Transformation Project” award in 2022 by the Portugal Digital Awards.
