Portugal news - Portuguese aviation uniforms company SKYPRO expands to the Middle East with contracts worth 1.3 million euros.
Uniforms made in Portugal for aviation professionals guarantee the excellence that symbolizes airline brands and SKYPRO has just won three contracts worth 1.3 million euros to provide footwear for cabin crew, pilots and ground staff for Royal Jordanian Airlines, Air Arabia and FlyDubai.
SKYPRO’s main clients are Emirates, NetJets, Norse Atlantic Airways and Royal Air Maroc. The company, that is already supplying uniforms for Emirates pilots and around 80,000 pairs of shoes to Qatar Airways yearly, is increasing its foothold in the Middle East.
The Portuguese airline uniforms manufacturer has an office in Dubai since 2022, that allows SKYPRO to access to more tenders in the region. However, the Portuguese uniforms company aims to provide footwear for crews all over the world, starting with offices in Germany and France in 2025 since these are the markets that have companies with more than a thousand employees.
SKYPRO was responsible for the first shoe in the world certified for the aviation industry, and is currently a reference product for airlines, according to Jorge Pinto, the founder of Skypro.
Portuguese textile and footwear company Skypro produces more than 130,000 pairs of shoes and half a million items of clothing annually for more than 40 customers. In addition to its headquarters in Porto and Dubai, the company has offices in Lisbon and Atlanta.
Skypro, that ranks among Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies, registered a turnover of 8.7 million euros, representing a 1000% growth, from 2013 to 2023.
