Princess Leonor of Spain is officially taking the oath of the Spanish Constitution on October 31, 2023, on the day she turns 18. The ceremony is taking place in the Congress Session Hall, where her father, King Felipe VI, swore on the Constitution on January 30th 1986.
For the official ceremony, the heiress to the Spanish throne wore an elegant white suit with the insignia of Knight of the Distinguished Order of the Golden Fleece of Spain, that is a Catholic order of chivalry founded by Philip the Good, Duke of Burgundy, in 1430 to celebrate his marriage to Isabella of Portugal. Today, two branches of the order exist, namely the Spanish and Austrian ones, and Princess Leonor of Spain wore the insignia that she received from her father King Felipe VI.
