Portugal news – This is the Portuguese company that is listed in The World’s Top 200 Fintech companies 2023.

The list of the World’s Top 200 Fintech companies 2023, published by Statista and CNBC, has elected Portuguese company Raize as one of the best global Fintech startups. The list of the World’s Top Fintech companies aggregates different business segments including digital banking, alternative financing, and payments.

Portuguese company Raize is one of the best Fintech companies in the world according to the study which takes into account the company’s Key Performance Indicators including the total number of users, the turnover and revenue.

Raize is the only Portuguese company to be included in this global ranking that comprises the world's top 200 Fintech companies, including Klarna for the Digital Payments segment, Revolut for the Neobanking segment, Robinhood for the Digital Wealth Management segment and Coinbase for the Digital Assets segment. This distinction places Raize among the best Fintech companies in the world, namely in the Alternative Lending segment.

According to CNBC and Statista, Fintech companies that belong to the Alternative Financing segment offer a better experience than traditional banking. This is due to the fact that these innovative companies use AI to improve the quality of service and to ensure faster decision-making for financing requests. This is the reason why alternative funding has seen a growing trend in the Financial Services sector in recent years, with the global market for alternative funding platforms expected to be worth around €10 billion in 2023, and to reach €42 billion Euros by 2030.

Portuguese Fintech Raize provides medium to long-term financing to companies with approval within 48 hours. In total, Raize has already raised more than 100 million Euros to invest in Portuguese companies; and the Fintech has supported, through its investments, more than 15,000 jobs.

According to José Maria Rego, founder and CEO of Raize, “It was with great satisfaction that we received news of this international recognition for the work we do every day in financing the economy. Raize is one of the main financing platforms for Portuguese SMEs.”
