Europe business news – Here is the ranking of the best countries in Europe with the highest standards for startups, according to the Startup Nations Standards (SNS) report by Europe Startup Nations Alliance.
The Startup Nations Standard Report 2024 reveals an average of 61% for the implementation rate of startup-friendly policies across Europe, while 14 countries surpass the overall average. The countries with access to finance and tax incentives for Business Angels perform better in the ranking of the best countries for startups.

France is the European country with the highest score for the implementation of standards for startups, with 93% that is well above the European average of 61%. This score rises from 87% in 2023.
2 - Spain
Spain is the European country with the second highest score for the implementation of standards for startups with 91%, rising from 87% in 2023.
3 - Lithuania
Lithuania is the European country with the third highest score for the implementation of standards for startups with 82%, rising from 65% in 2023.
4 - Belgium
Belgium is the European country with the fourth highest score for the implementation of standards for startups with 74%, rising from 70% in 2023.
5 - Malta
