EU billionaire news - What is Cristiano Ronaldo's investment portfolio in 2025?
Cristiano Ronaldo’s fortune amounts to more than one billion euros, according to the Hurun Global Rich List published in the beginning of 2024.
Cristiano Ronaldo is not only the captain of the Portuguese national team, but he is one of the world’s highest-paid athletes with a contract worth more than 200 million euros per year until 2025 at Saudi football club Al Nassr.
Moreover, Cristiano Ronaldo owns a business empire with a diversified investment portfolio, covering hotels, real estate, media, beauty, luxury porcelain, fashion, water and the financial sector just to name a few, since he turned 40 in February 2025.
Here is Cristiano Ronaldo's investment portfolio in 2025:
1 – Investment in Independent film studio UR•MARV
Cristiano Ronaldo created a movie studio named UR.MARV with British film producer Matthew Vaughn in a 50-50 joint venture, according to an announcement made on April 10th, 2025.
Ronaldo and Vaughn have already financed and produced two action films together and are about to start a third in the same series for which he will adopt innovative technologies.
The investment comes as a streaming platform such as Netflix and Disney+ with the aim to boost independent film producers by offering to distribute their films to a global audience.
2 – Investment in Vista Alegre group
Cristiano Ronaldo invested 17.3 million euros to buy 10% of Portuguese group Vista Alegre Atlantis SGPS. This operation, which was carried out through the company CR7 SA, also provides for the acquisition of 30% of the capital of Vista Alegre Spain. The investment agreement includes creating a new company in the Middle East and Asia with the aim of expanding the Vista Alegre and Bordallo Pinheiro brands with an equal shareholding.
The iconic Portuguese porcelain is a luxury lifestyle brand, and the Vista Alegre group profits amounted to 6.8 million euros in 2023. In May 2024, Vista Alegre, known worldwide for its production of high-quality porcelain and crystal, successfully completed a Public Subscription Offering (OPS) of bonds maturing on May 20, 2029. This operation allowed the company to raise 60 million euros from 2,320 small investors, which will be used to finance its current activity and investment projects.
3 – Investment in media brand Medialivre
Cristiano invested in media brand Cofina Média that was re-branded Medialivre. The sale of Cofina Media was completed on November 8th 2023, for 56.8 million euros, with the sale to Cristiano Ronaldo, Luís Santana, Ana Dias, Octávio Ribeiro, Isabel Rodrigues, Carlos Rodrigues, Luís Ferreira, Carlos Cruz, Domingos Vieira de Matos, Paulo Fernandes and João Borges de Oliveira, through vehicle company Expressão Livre. The sale resulted in a capital gain of around eight million euros.
The media company owns titles such as Correio da Manhã, Record, Jornal de Negócios, Sábado, TV Guia, Flash and Máxima.
4 - Investment in Whoop
Crisitiano Ronaldo invested in Whoop in May 2024, an American sports performance company that has raised over $400 million in venture capital since 2012.
Ronaldo’s partnership with Whoop coincides with Whoop’s expansion into new markets, including the Gulf region and countries such as Hong Kong, Israel, Korea and Taiwan. In addition, the company will begin selling its products in India, Mexico and Brazil, to expand its global reach.
5 – Investment in Insparya
Crisitiano Ronaldo invested in Insparya in 2021, a hair transplant company with international operations.
6 – Investment in hotel chain Pestana group
Crisitiano Ronaldo invested in hotel chain Pestana group in 2016, with a 75-million-euro joint venture for the construction of four new hotels in Madeira island, Lisbon, Madrid and New York, as well as for the creation of the Pestana CR7 Lifestyle Hotels brand dedicated to millennials.
9 – Investment in advertising contracts & social media presence
Crisitiano Ronaldo earns around 90 million euros in advertising contracts every year, according to Forbes estimates, and has more than 850 million followers on social media. Ronaldo also launched his YouTube channel UR Cristiano in August 2024.
10 – Sole proprietorship of CR7 Lifestyle
Crisitiano Ronaldo has the sole ownership of CR7 Lifestyle that is an investment vehicle with more than 20 million in equity capital, which is managed by three of his right-hand men, namely his brother Hugo Aveiro, his long-time friend Miguel Paixão dos Santos, and Miguel Marques who has managed Ronaldo’s fortune for many years.
CR7 Lifestyle holds a 100% stake in CR7 Lifestyle Lisboa, the company that owns the Pestana CR7 Lisboa Hotel in Lisbon, and also a 50% stake in Pestana CR7 Madeira Hotel Investimentos Turísticos, in Funchal.
11 – Investment in CR7 SA
Cristiano Ronaldo invested in CR7 SA, a public limited company whose chairman of the board of directors is Miguel Marques, a partner in investment company LMCapital.
Under CR7 SA, Cristiano Ronaldo has a controlling position over three active Portuguese companies, namely Domum Septem, CR7 Footwear, 7Egend and minority or equal positions in five Portuguese companies and as many foreign companies.
The most notable investment of CR7 SA is the 50% stake in CR7 Marrakesh, the company that owns the Pestana group hotel in Marrakesh, and 50% of the capital in Maravilha Décimal, the company that sells Ursu9, the alkaline water that CR7 launched in partnership with Francisco Ferreira, a businessman from Vizela who owns the Outeirinho group.
12 – Investment in watch brand Jacob & Co
Cristiano Ronaldo has his own luxury watch brand, a business venture with his friend who is the owner of the Jacob & Co brand. This has led to a new line of luxury watches branded Cristiano Ronaldo, including the Flight of CR7 and the Heart of CR7 models that are co-branded by Jacob & Co.
13 – Investment in Portugal’s new Padel City
Cristiano Ronaldo has invested in Portugal’s new Padel City in September 2023 and it will be built with an investment of over 5 million euros by Ronaldo’s company CR7 and by Lusofinança that belongs to Portuguese businessman Filipe de Botton.
14 – Investment in Real Estate
Cristiano Ronaldo is building a luxury mansion of 899 square meters in Cascais in Lisbon’s metropolitan area. The house that was to cost over EUR 20 million is now expected to be twice the initial amount budgeted since construction costs soared by 70% due to the increase in the price of construction materials. Cristiano Ronaldo’s mansion is considered to be the most expensive house in Portugal.
In addition to his new luxury mansion Cascais, Cristiano Ronaldo also owns an apartment on Lisbon’s main avenue where all the luxury boutiques are located, Avenida da Liberdade, as well as the most expensive penthouse ever sold in Portugal that is located on Rua Castilho in Lisbon. Portugal’s football star also owns a building in Funchal on the island of Madeira, where his mother and older brother live.
