Cristiano Ronaldo is investing in Portugal as he has just won a bid to build a new city in the Lisbon district. Cristiano Ronaldo’s new city will be 15,000 square meters and will be comprised of 17 fields for playing Padel.
Portugal’s new Padel City will be built with an investment of over 5 million Euros by company CR7 that belongs to Cristiano Ronaldo and by company Lusofinança that belongs to Portuguese businessman Filipe de Botton. Cristiano Ronaldo owns the company CR7 and the name is coined with his initials and the number 7. CR7 has become an international brand-name that also owns shares in the Pestana CR7 hotel chain.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s other investments through his company CR7 include the Pestana CR7 Lifestyle Hotels brand that is a joint investment with the owner Dionísio Pestana and Cristiano Ronaldo. The CR7 hotel chain, that is known under tagline “team work and fair play”, comprises luxury hotels in Madeira, Lisbon, Madrid, Marrakesh, and New York City’s Times Square.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s new Padel City, that will be unique in Portugal, will be inaugurated during the first half of 2025. The president of the Portuguese Padel Federation said that "Portugal is a world power" in the sport and Cristiano Ronaldo’s new investment will consolidate Portugal as an international powerhouse of Padel.
With this new investment in Portugal, Cristiano Ronaldo is pioneering a new sport and his new Padel City will be able to host a European Championship and even a World Cup.
